Introduction
The Systems Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs related to business systems, applications, and functional processes. The role ensures that employees, franchisees, and other stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use organizational systems and adhere to standardized business processes. The incumbent will support system implementations, upgrades, process improvements, and change management initiatives through effective training interventions and user support.
Job description
Training Design and Development
- Conduct training needs assessments for new and existing systems.
- Develop training materials, including:
- User guides
- Quick reference guides
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Video content
- Assessments and competency evaluations
- Design learner-centric training solutions for different user groups.
- Ensure all training materials remain accurate and aligned to current system functionality and business processes.
Training Delivery
- Facilitate instructor-led classroom training.
- Conduct virtual training sessions and webinars.
- Deliver one-on-one and group coaching sessions.
- Train new employees during induction and onboarding programs.
- Facilitate refresher and upskilling training initiatives.
- Adapt delivery methods to suit different learning styles and business requirements.
Systems Support
- Develop a thorough understanding of company systems and processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems.
- Support system rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Work closely with system owners, developers, and business stakeholders to understand functional changes.
- Assist users in understanding system functionality and best practices.
Change Management and Adoption
- Support organizational change initiatives related to digital transformation and system implementations.
- Develop communication and user adoption strategies.
- Monitor adoption rates and identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote best practices and standardization of business processes.
Training Administration
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions.
- Maintain training records and attendance registers.
- Track learner completion and competency results.
- Prepare training reports and dashboards.
- Manage training calendars and learning management systems where applicable.
Quality Assurance
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback surveys, and workplace observations.
- Measure training outcomes against organizational objectives.
- Identify skills gaps and implement corrective training interventions.
- Recommend improvements to training content and delivery methods.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with operational teams, managers, system administrators, and business leaders.
- Liaise with external vendors and training providers where necessary.
- Provide regular updates on training initiatives and learner performance.
- Build strong relationships with employees and franchise partners.
Minimum requirements

- National Diploma or Degree in:

- Or a related field
Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in training, facilitation, or learning and development.
- Experience training users on business systems and operational processes.
- Experience developing training materials and documentation.
- Experience supporting system implementations or business transformation initiatives.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced).
- Business systems such as (advantageous)
